Inside your eye, there is a structure which helps with refracting incoming light on your retina. However, instead of a retina, your camera has an image sensor.
Lenses come in a large variety of focal lengths, various maximum apertures, and features. From a huge selection of lenses, which one should you choose? This can be a tough question to answer, especially when you are just starting out.
